REH (Renewable Energy Holdings) focuses on development, construction and O&M of greenfield and refurbished hydro IPPs (5-50 MW) in Southern Africa. REH developed the Bethlehem Hydro IPP (Sol Plaatje 3 MW + Merino 4 MW), the first greenfield hydro in South Africa since the 1980s, and the 4.5 MW Stortemelk project under REIPPPP. REH is owned by its directors and Mertech (SA investment group), with development funding from Norfund.
