Nuru is a Congolese energy company focused on solar-based mini-grids and metrogrids in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The company deployed Congo’s first solar-based mini-grid in 2017 and has developed major solar-hybrid sites in Goma and elsewhere; it describes its 1.3 MW Goma facility as the largest off-grid mini-grid in sub-Saharan Africa and positions itself as a leading urban mini-grid developer in DRC.
