Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) is the United Arab Emirates’ flagship renewable energy company and one of the most prominent clean energy developers operating across emerging markets. Wholly owned by Mubadala, ADNOC and TAQA, Masdar develops, invests in and operates utility-scale renewable energy and clean technology projects across solar, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen and selected waste-to-energy segments. As of 2024, Masdar had a global renewable energy portfolio exceeding 20 GW in operation, under construction or advanced development, and has positioned Africa as a major growth region within its international strategy.
