Genesis Eco-Energy Developments is a South African renewable energy developer established in 2001 and headquartered in Cape Town. The company develops and manages utility-scale renewable energy projects, including wind, solar PV, bio-energy and hybrid power systems, primarily in South Africa and the Southern African region. Genesis has contributed to several renewable energy projects under South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), including the development of Droogfontein Solar PV (50 MW) and De Aar Solar PV (50 MW) projects. The company is also developing additional wind and solar projects in Southern Africa, with a broader pipeline of over 5 GW of renewable energy projects under development in the region.
