Fortescue (formerly Fortescue Future Industries), is the green energy subsidiary of Australian iron ore giant Fortescue Ltd. FFI targets 15 GW of renewable energy and significant green hydrogen production by 2030. In Africa, FFI has signed MoUs and pursued green hydrogen project development in South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, DRC, Gabon, Guinea, Senegal and Tanzania. While many projects remain in early development, the scale of engagement makes FFI one of Africa's most prominent green hydrogen investors.
