Cabeolica is a Public-Private Partnership established in 2008 between InfraCo Limited, the Government of Cabo Verde, and Electra SARL, to develop four wind farms across the islands of Santiago (9.35 MW), São Vicente (5.95 MW), Sal (7.65 MW) and Boa Vista (2.55 MW) – totalling 25.5 MW. The project, commissioned in 2012, was transformative for Cabo Verde's energy mix, raising the share of renewables in generation significantly.
