ZESCO Limited is Zambia's state-owned integrated electricity utility responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity across the country. The company operates Zambia's large hydropower fleet including the Kafue Gorge, Kariba North Bank and Victoria Falls power stations, which together form the backbone of the country's electricity supply. ZESCO is investing in solar power development and grid expansion to address capacity shortfalls and extend electricity access to rural communities. ZESCO was represented at Enlit Africa 2025.
