The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) is a South African development finance institution mandated to accelerate infrastructure development across the continent. The bank provides project finance, blended finance and advisory services to energy, water, transport and social infrastructure projects in South Africa and across Africa. In energy, DBSA has financed numerous renewable energy projects under South Africa's REIPPPP, regional transmission lines including the Malawi-Mozambique interconnector, and off-grid electrification projects. The DBSA participated as a Silver Sponsor and Project & Investment Network Silver Sponsor at Enlit Africa 2025.
