Rwanda Energy Group (REG) is the state-owned holding company that manages Rwanda's electricity sector through two subsidiaries: Energy Utility Corporation Limited (EUCL), which handles electricity generation, transmission and distribution, and Energy Development Corporation Limited (EDCL), which focuses on energy development and rural electrification projects. REG is central to Rwanda's ambitious 100% electricity access target and is developing a mix of hydro, solar, methane gas and peat-fired generation to meet growing demand. REG was represented at Enlit Africa 2025.
