Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) is the state-owned electricity utility of Botswana, responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity across the country. The corporation operates thermal power plants, manages the national transmission grid and is pursuing a diversification strategy incorporating solar PV, coal bed methane and regional power imports. BPC imports a significant share of its electricity from South Africa and Zimbabwe while developing domestic generation capacity. The corporation's ICT general manager participated as a speaker at Enlit Africa 2025.
